Since three generations, now, our community has been associated with hotel industry. Like the rest of the spheres of economy, even hotel industry is not immune to corruption and exploitation. At Maktabah Jafariyah School of Management, Department of Hotel Management, we endeavour to nurture professionals who are well-versed in the norms, laws and ethics related to this industry. So that in this cut-throat world of competition, they can achieve success without either exploiting anybody or getting exploited themselves. Tourism in India, which is largely dependent on the hotel industry, has significant potential considering the rich cultural and historical heritage, variety in ecology, terrains and places of natural beauty spread across the country. Tourism is also a potentially large employment generator besides being a significant source of foreign exchange for the country. Most of the hotels and restaurant in India are run by staff that is unskilled or lacking in educational background. To train the staff of the hospitality industry within our community, and to impart best possible know-how, Maktabah Jafariyah School of Management, Department of Hotel Management, has designed short term courses in Hotel Management, Cookery and Bakery courses. With these efforts, we hope to give the much needed impetus to the hospitality industry in general, and to the uneducated but hard-working staff of this industry in particular. We hope that all the people associated with us will subscribe to our vision and provide us with the much needed support for the success of these short-term courses.
