BizThon 2025 – A Marathon of Business Innovation was organised by Maktabah Jafariyah School of Management to empower students to transform their innovative ideas into scalable businesses and to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools to solve real-world problems using creative and sustainable business solutions. It promoted entrepreneurial thinking, enhanced presentation and pitching skills, and provided a launchpad for startup ideas. Students gained hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for teamwork, while the institute benefited from fostering an entrepreneurial culture, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthening industry connections.
Expert Workshop (20 August 2025)

On 20 August 2025, the Expert Workshop as a part of BizThon 2025 was held at Maktabah Jafariyah School of Management, bringing together 138 participants from 46 teams representing various institutions, including ICFAI Business School, L J University, Silver Oak University, Ganpat University, Gokul University, Sankalchand Patel University, along with participants from Maktabah Jafariyah and its cluster centres at Madinatul Ilm – Kishorgadh and Shekhpur. The workshop aimed to teach students how to create effective business plans, providing them with the tools, confidence, and knowledge necessary to prepare and pitch their ideas.

Mr. Bhushan Mehta, Chief Project Manager at Antrapreneur – The Business Incubator, L.J. University, led the expert session at the workshop. With extensive experience in entrepreneurship incubation and startup mentoring, he shared valuable insights and practical advice that greatly helped participants understand the startup ecosystem and develop their business plans confidently.

The expert workshop prepared students for the elimination round by helping them refine their business plans and pitches while addressing their doubts. Participants received guidance on improving their presentation skills, conducting market research, assessing financial viability, and strategic problem-solving to present themselves confidently to the judges. The sessions focused on practical tips and real-time feedback, ensuring students were well-equipped to advance through the competition stages.
Mentorship Programme (8–14 September 2025)
With expert guidance and support, challenges become opportunities for growth and development.Following the workshop, a Mentorship Programme was conducted online from 8 to 14 September 2025, during which each team received one-to-one, personalised guidance from industry experts. This programme provided ongoing support, valuable feedback, and strategic advice tailored to help participants effectively develop and refine their business ideas. The mentors included,

Elimination Round (18–19 September 2025)

The Elimination Round, held on September 18 and 19, 2025, brought together 41 teams comprising 123 graduate and postgraduate students, presenting a wide variety of business ideas ranging from sustainable fashion, health-focused ventures, organic farming, AI-powered tech solutions, eco-friendly packaging, Agri-tech innovations, innovative IoT applications, to creative service platforms and niche Pharma B2B models – showcasing diversity and innovation across industries.

An esteemed panel of judges added immense value to the process, blending industry expertise with sharp insights:

The atmosphere was innovative, where each team presented its ideas to the judges and received valuable feedback. Judging was based on criteria including market research, feasibility, presentation skills, innovation, impact, clarity and teamwork.
In the elimination round of BizThon 2025, 10 teams out of 41 were selected for the final round:
1. Bluera: Sustainable, healthy spirulina farming to produce high-quality superfood products and value-added items.
2. IoT-based Employee Management System: A smart attendance and workforce monitoring solution using IoT.
3. Frootic: A farm-to-consumer fresh fruit delivery and agriculture-based brand.
4. Lensorbit360: Compact 360° rotating contact lens holder with a multi-layer design that ensures hygienic, dust-free, and convenient storage.
5. Ilaav: A user-friendly platform empowering farmers with government schemes and support for better opportunities.
6. Date Seeds Coffee: Producing caffeine-free coffee from roasted date seeds, promoting health and sustainability.
7. Saffron Farming: A specialised agricultural venture focusing on high-value saffron cultivation.
8. Azurite: A Direct B2B platform connecting verified intermediate manufacturers and buyers to eliminate brokers in the Pharma industry.
9. Omni Mind: An AI platform that automates business workflows, marketing, sales, and customer support by integrating data from multiple sources and customising AI agents for seamless efficiency.
10. Think Orbit: Offering immersive, nature-based educational tours that combine adventure with experiential learning for children.
Final Round (20September 2025)

The BizThon 2025 Final Round, held on 20 September 2025, electrified the atmosphere as 10 finalist teams showcased their innovative business plans and unique solutions in detail,covering their unique selling propositions (USP), financial plans, marketing strategies, operational plans, and future growth endeavours.

The presence of the Chief Guest further elevated the event, with Dr. K.C. Poria, Vice-Chancellor of Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University (HNGU), inspiring participants with his encouraging words and sharing his vision for entrepreneurial growth and the evolving education system in India. He emphasised the importance of holistic education, preparing students to become responsible, innovative leaders who contribute meaningfully to society and the country.
Businesspeople from Sidhpur, Mehsana, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, and Ahmedabad attended the event, along with distinguished guests from educational institutions, trustees of Ahmed Vikas Mandal, and staff members of Maktabah Jafariyah. Additionally, the event was broadcast live online to more than 1,000 students and guests from Maktabah Jafariyah cluster centres and other locations.

After the evaluation of the 10 finalist teams, three winners were declared:
1. Lensorbit 360: Soni Purvanshi, Ansh Chaudhari, and Kirtan Patel won the first prize with a cash award of ₹25,000, a trophy and a shield.
2. Ilaav: Abhishek Paliwal, Komal Chaudhari, and Dharya Patw secured the second prize with ₹15,000 and a shield.
3. Frootic: Hasanabbas Masi, Shifa Dhanga, and Abbasali Kadiwala took the third prize with ₹10,000 and a shield.

After prize distribution, the judges addressed the audience, sharing inspiring life lessons, appreciating the entrepreneurial spirit displayed by the participants, and commending the exceptional organisation of BizThon 2025.
BizThon 2025 concluded on a high note, celebrating innovation and teamwork, with every participant receiving certificates and gifts, and the winning teams proudly carrying home trophies symbolising excellence and entrepreneurial promise.
